MEMBERSHIP GYC is comprised of individuals and families desiring a friendly social atmosphere and share a passion for boating. There are three classifications of memberships available in the Guilford Yacht Club. All three classifications of membership entitle you to the full privileges of the Guilford Yacht Club, unlimited access to all of the Club’s facilities and amenities, participation in all social events & activities and reciprocity at many other Yacht Clubs. Although many members of the Guilford Yacht Club may be boat and/or slip owners, it is not a prerequisite for membership. |
CLUBHOUSE
Clubhouse membership is for those who do not rent or own a slip at the Guilford Yacht Club. You pay a one-time initiation fee and annual membership fees. To maintain your membership in good standing, all fees must be paid timely. Clubhouse members in good standing have full voting rights for any issues requiring member vote and have the opportunity to serve as Trustees or Officers of the Guilford Yacht Club.
| OWNER
Unit Owner membership is for those who own a slip at the Guilford Yacht Club. The cost of this membership is included with the purchase of a slip and payment of monthly maintenance fees. Unit Owners have full voting rights for the Unit Owners Association Board and the Guilford Yacht Club Board. Unit Owners have the opportunity to serve as Trustees or Officers of the Guilford Yacht Club.
| DOCKSIDE
Dockside membership is for those who rent a slip through the Guilford Yacht Club. Dockside memberships are seasonal and must be renewed each year. There is no initiation fee for a Dockside membership, however an annual membership fee does apply (in addition to rental fees). When renting a slip through the Guilford Yacht Club, a Dockside membership is mandatory (not mandatory when renting privately via a GYC slip owner). A Dockside membership entitles you to use of all GYC facilities and participation in all social events, activities and programs, subject to any applicable event fees. Please note: Renting a slip privately through a slip owner does NOT entitle you to use of all GYC facilities and social events. To maintain your Dockside membership in good standing, all fees must be paid timely.
| TENNIS A Seasonal Tennis Guest option is for those who only require access to the GYC HAR-TRU Tennis Courts for lessons with the GYC Tennis Pro, Billy Previdi. This option is not considered a membership and allows access to ONLY our pristine HAR-TRU tennis courts, visitor parking lot and restrooms only while playing with the GYC Tennis Pro. At a nominal fee of $100.00 per person, Tennis access is seasonal (Late Spring, Summer and Early Fall) and must be requested each season.

Annual dues for Clubhouse and Dockside membership are reasonable with no minimum monthly spending requirement. Sponsorship by a current GYC member is preferred but a referral from another yacht club will often suffice as a reference. Applications for membership are processed in the order received. If there are no current vacancies, approved applicants are placed on a waiting list, then admitted when vacancies become available. |
