Bluebird Cafe-Style “Songwriters in the Round” Comes to GYC

Guilford, CT – May 26, 2026 – Guilford Yacht Club is opening its doors to area residents from Guilford, Branford, North Branford, Killingworth, and Madison for a special Bluebird Cafe-style evening of live music on the club’s Great Lawn overlooking Long Island Sound.

The free Songwriters in the Round event, organized by Joe Briganti and Bill Rowen, will take place on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 6–8 PM, with doors opening at 5 PM. The evening will feature acclaimed New England songwriters Eddie Seville, Marc Douglas Berardo, and Frank Critelli.

Inspired by the iconic Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, this intimate performance format places songwriters together “in the round,” sharing original songs, the stories behind them, humor, and spontaneous interaction with the audience. Known as much for their wit and audience engagement as for their songwriting craftsmanship, these seasoned performers promise a memorable summer evening of music and storytelling.

The Experience

The first 100 guests will be seated in “the circle,” with chairs provided to offer the closest and most immersive view of the performers. Additional lawn seating will be available for guests bringing their own lawn chairs or blankets. The event is BYOB. Come and create a relaxed and welcoming shoreline concert atmosphere.

Featured Artists

Eddie Seville – A New England-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Seville is known for his raw, gritty, and cinematic roots-rock and alt-country sound. As the creative force behind the band Steel Rodeo, he has toured extensively while building a respected solo career. His catalog includes releases on Island, Atlantic, and Universal Records, and his work has been featured across all major U.S. television networks, ESPN, and HBO. Throughout his career, Seville has shared stages and recording booths with veteran musicians, including members of Queen, Bad Company, and Free.

Marc Douglas Berardo – A celebrated singer-songwriter, Berardo is known for his heartfelt storytelling and melodic folk-rock. Praised for his emotionally resonant lyrics and captivating live performances, he has shared the stage with numerous renowned artists across the folk and Americana scenes, earning acclaim from both regional and national media.

Frank Critelli – A versatile songwriter and performer, Critelli blends folk, rock, and Americana with an engaging stage presence and sharp wit. His clever lyrics and memorable melodies have built him a devoted following across New England, making each performance both entertaining and unforgettable.
