Activities at GYC
| The Pool at Guilford Yacht Club The pool is now open daily (weather permitting) from 8:15am to 30 minutes prior to sunset. |
 | Junior Sailing Summer Program (on PAUSE for 2024 - will RESUME in 2025) Our Junior Sailing summer program is fun for both the novice and the intermediate sailor. Our goals are to teach the joys of sailing and taking advantage of the beautiful Connecticut Shoreline in manageable half-day sessions. Our activities will promote the sport in all weather conditions, with boat handling and seamanship skills a part of each class. The program emphasizes fairness, good sportsmanship, and teamwork in a fun environment. The Guilford Yacht Club is dedicated to providing a wonderful program for our young sailors. Sessions are available for GYC members and non-members. |
| Tennis at The Guilford Yacht Club GYC is proud to provide great tennis opportunities for our membership. Come down and hit some balls with our Pro, Billy Previdi, or utilize some court time with a friend. We have the most beautiful setting for tennis on the shoreline! Click here for more information. |
| GYC Book Club The GYC Book Club is a monthly group open to all members. Meeting are held at 5:30pm and venues vary, although typically take place on the Clubhouse Patio or at the Osprey's Nest. |
| GYC Member Events Guilford Yacht Club hosts a variety of social events for members throughout the year. |
| Performance Handicap Racing Fleet (PHRF) Racing Guilford Yacht Club members are encouraged to participate in PHRF racing as part of the Guilford Cup Series, held in conjunction with Sachem’s Head Yacht Club. Beginning in mid-June and running through Labor Day Weekend, our ever-expanding fleet races every Wednesday evening, with additional races on holidays and weekends throughout the summer. |
