Do you provide catering or can I bring my own?
The Guilford Yacht Club partners exclusively with Gourmet Galley Catering to provide all food, beverage, staff and rental needs.

What is a site managing fee and how much is it? What is included?
The site managing fee is a fee charged by our exclusive partner, Gourmet Galley Catering, in order to manage and maintain the Guilford Yacht Club. The fee varies based on season and day of the week, and the Sales and Event Manager is happy to discuss this with you. The site managing fee is for a five hour event time, and includes the tables and chairs necessary to outfit your event. We have a number of tables in a variety of sizes, including cocktail tables, dining tables and some rectangular tables. We have light wood chivari chairs inside the ballroom and 40 white garden chairs to be used outside.

How many events take place at the same time at the Guilford Yacht Club?
The Guilford Yacht Club only holds one event at a time, and only one event per day.

Can I have my ceremony on-site? Is there an additional fee for this?
Absolutely! The most popular option is to have the ceremony out on the Great Lawn with views of the {body of water}. There is no additional fee to have your ceremony on-site if it is within your five hour rental period.

Does the Guilford Yacht Club have a bridal suite?
It sure does, complete with a private bathroom. The bridal suite is available for you up to two hours prior to the scheduled start time of your event. Additional hours of use may be purchased, and your Sales and Event Manager is happy to discuss this with you.

When can I come in to set-up?
The Guilford Yacht Club is open two hours prior to the scheduled start time of your event. Please discuss this with your Sales and Event Manager, as she may be able to take care of some of your basic day-of event set-up.

Is the Guilford Yacht Club handicap accessible?
Yes. Handicap access is through the doors off the patio (there is a slight lip there) and bathrooms are most certainly handicap accessible. There is no handicap access to the second floor.

Do I have to be a member to hold an event at the Guilford Yacht Club?
No – we welcome members and non-members to hold events at the Guilford Yacht Club.

Is it possible to put a tent on the property? Is that included in the Site Managing Fee?
Yes, you may put a tent on the property. You may choose to extend the ballroom by tenting the patio, or you may choose to have all guests seated under a tent on the Great Lawn. The fee for a tent is not included in the Site Managing Fee, although your Sales and Event Manager is happy to arrange for a tent with one of our exclusive vendors.

What is the capacity of the Guilford Yacht Club?
The Guilford Yacht Club can comfortably hold 160 guests for dinner and dancing indoors. It can hold up to 300 guests for a cocktail-style reception. We can accommodate a wedding of up to 300 with a tent.

Am I able to hold a wedding rehearsal on property?
Yes! Wedding rehearsals will depend on the Guilford Yacht Club’s schedule and must be arranged through your Sales and Event Manager.

Do you conduct tours of the Guilford Yacht Club?
Yes! Tours are by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling us at 203.453.8995 or emailing marissa@gourmet-galley.com

What is required to book the space?
We require a signed contract and 20% of the estimated catering total (including the Site Managing Fee) in order to book the space.

What restrictions are in place for sound, candles, décor, etc?
You may have sound inside the building as late as you want. Sound outside must cease by 10 pm. Candles are allowed as long as the flame is enclosed (typically in a votive holder or something similar). Nothing is allowed to be affixed to the walls. There are some upgraded décor options available – your Sales and Event Manager will be happy to discuss these in more detail.

Are my guests and I able to go on the docks? Can we use them for photos?
You and your guests are not allowed on the docks. The docks are for members only. You may not use them for photos.
